In 1975, Enid Williams and Kim McAullife, both from South London, formed an all girl Rock cover band called Painted Lady. After playing the local pub scene and numerous line up changes, Kelly Johnson and Denise Dufort came on board and in April of 78 they changed their name to Girlschool. Girlschool have toured with the likes of Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and many other influential rock bands during their illustrious career. 2008 brings about the 30th anniversary of Girlschool and they are commemorating it with the release of LEGACY. Featuring a plethora of special guests, including Tony Iommi, Ronnie James Dio, Lemmy and Phil Campbell from Motorhead, "Fast" Eddie Clark and members of Twisted Sister, this reacord will surely show the true LEGACY that is Girlschool.
