Paycheck got his start in the late '50s/early '60s as a writer/musician who performed with such greats as Faron Young, George Jones and Ray Price. Johnny began performing solo in the mid-'60s, eventually becoming one of the "outlaws" of country music during the '70s - this album contains selections from this period, including Johnny's #1 song and working man's anthem, "Take This Job And Shove It." Other highlights: "She's All I Got," "Mr. Love maker," "Someone to Give My Love To," "Slide Off Your Satin Sheets" and more.
