Geese is widely regarded as one of the most noteworthy artists today. The third studio album "Getting Killed" was produced with rising producer Kenneth Bloom, formerly known as Kenny Beats, and was recorded in a rapid ten day session. The album presents a grand and chaotic work resembling a dark comedy, where gentle lullaby like sounds intersect with experimental rhythms filled with anger. The album received a score of 9.0 from Pitchfork and was selected as one of the best albums of 2025 by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and Rough Trade. It was also ranked number one among the best albums of 2025 by NME, The New Yorker, and TIME, making it a defining work of the year. Following sold out tickets for their long awaited first Japan tour scheduled for February 2026, the artist has been gaining recognition in Japan, leading to the release of the first Japan edition. The Japan edition is released as an SHM-CD and includes liner notes, translated lyrics, and a Japan exclusive design poster. The release comes in a cardboard sleeve package.
